Know where your coffee comes from
Ernesto Buesaco grew up in the department of Cauca, in an indigenous population working on the land and growing coffee. He was looking for better opportunities for himself and his family. That made him move to the Huila region. In the San Agustin area, thirty-five years ago, he found his new home. He was one of the first to turn to specialty coffee in the area. He purchased the farm Guayabito and following his family tradition; he started to cultivate coffee.
During harvest, he hires 10 workers that help him and his two children, to select the ripest coffee cherries carefully. Coffee is then de-pulped, washed, and dried for 15 – 20 days.
