Know where your coffee comes from
Recently Tom visited Colombia again. Every year we buy from 3 different areas in Colombia with Huila being an important region. This coffee comes from Cachingo estate in San Augustin, Huila. The owner of the estate is Edison Ricardo Bravo. He is the owner of a 2 Ha estate at 1600/1650 masl. The small size is typical around this area. A lot of farmers are smallholders and are united around a coop. He is a 3rd generation coffee grower with his father also be known within the Colombian specialty coffee. Back in 2019 he ended at the 3rd place at Cup of excellence.
The pink bourbon variety is somehow a little different, being a difficult variety to grow, very sensible but with a very fine, delicate, fruity, bright aroma.
